Local governments are on the front lines of a changing climate. Our report, Preparing for Climate Change: An Implementation Guide for Local Governments in BC, describes the tools available for local decision-makers, and highlights useful experiences and good practices from around the province and across Canada.
For example, local governments already plan for change, and can incorporate climate change adaptation strategies into official community plans, financial and infrastructure planning, emergency response, community development and the protection of the natural environment.
